Absentee Voting Contest
Absentee Voting Office, Jefferson County Courthouse · 716 Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd North, Room 500, Birmingham, AL 35203

A contest among organizations to reach 30,000 absentee votes in Jefferson County, as we did in 2022. Bring voters to the Absentee Voting Office between September 9 and October 27 — $10,000 in prizes for the organizations that turn out the most voters.
Together We Vote. Together We Win. Our goal is 30,000 absentee votes across Jefferson County, the same number we reached in 2022. Every vote counts, and every organization makes a difference.
How it works: bring voters to the Absentee Voting Office in the Jefferson County Courthouse, Room 500, any time from September 9 through October 27. Absentee votes are validated by the Absentee Office confirming that the person voted.
For example, if a church brings in 20 people per week for 8 weeks, they may reach 180–200 absentee voters who have voted in person before the General Election. That church may receive a donation of up to $3,000 for a scholarship in the church's name for a student for the 2026–2027 mid-year school year.
Your organization must keep its own list of the absentee votes it is claiming, along with something showing that you provided the transportation or otherwise encouraged those voters to go to the Absentee Office.
Prizes total $10,000: $3,000 for the top voter getter, $2,000 each for two second-place organizations, and $1,000 each for three third-place organizations.
