Our Mission
JCCC works to grow voter turnout in Jefferson County through education and community outreach. We help residents understand and complete the absentee voting process.

Leadership Legacy
Founded in 1977
The Jefferson County Citizens Coalition was founded in 1977 by Richard Arrington Jr. — who would go on to become Birmingham's first African American mayor — with Earl Hilliard as co-founder. For nearly five decades, JCCC has organized voter education and civic engagement across Jefferson County.
